J  As this is the last term in the junior area for many, I suggest that students take responsibility for walking themselves into class and unpacking their own bags.  They are capable of doing this for themselves.  They will be part of a cooperative team again this term (still choice about where they sit) and they will earn points for their team by being organised and independent. I will also be sending home a brief ‘homework’ activity sheet each week to get them ready for completing home learning tasks at home.  This is a choice activity – it is not compulsory.  It will be stuck in the Poetry book, so please ensure this book stays in the reading folder.

J  Any questions? Text 027-491-2605 or email Claudine.campbell@ashborough.school.nz or leave a note in the notebook or on my desk.  I will always get back to you promptly J
